One day on the coast
Choose Noosa, Mooloolaba or Caloundra as your main destination. Pair a walk or attraction with a relaxed lunch and leave a buffer before your return journey.
A hinterland day
Choose one nature stop, a village lunch and a second village or food venue. Longer walks mean fewer other stops; scenic roads also need generous travel time.
A longer stay
Give the coast and hinterland separate days. Keep some flexibility for weather, rest and activities that need advance reservations rather than filling every hour.
Practical Sunshine Coast travel advice
Getting around: check Translink for current public transport services. Hinterland attractions may need additional connections or a vehicle. For group transport, provide the exact collection address and allow time for boarding and luggage.
Beach and walking conditions: follow lifeguard advice and swim between the red and yellow flags when patrols operate. Check Queensland Parks alerts before a national park walk. Take water, sun protection and footwear suitable for the route.
Accessibility: tell us about mobility needs at the start of planning. Confirm vehicle access, steps, walking surfaces, toilets and attraction arrangements for the specific activity; a general description may not cover every part of the day.
Weather and timing: leave a wet-weather alternative for outdoor activities and check conditions close to departure. Busy weekends and school holidays can affect travel times, parking and availability.
